Ministry wants to install non-original parts on foreign jets
MOSCOW, Oct 25 (PRIME) -- The Transport Ministry has suggested allowing airlines to install parts from different producers on foreign aircraft, according to a draft government regulation released on Tuesday.
An explanatory note read that in conditions of international sanctions, the aircraft users have difficulties with buying original plane parts, while launching local production and certification will take a lot of time.
"At the same time, the aviation industry of some countries has set up production of non-original components according to various procedures, including Part Manufacturer Approval (PMA), European Part Approval (EPA), Technical Standard Orders Authorization (TSOA) approved for installation on aircraft in accordance with the documents," the note read.
